Naming your pet

Names. You name a pet when you hatch or adopt it, and you can rename it later from the pet's own menu. Keep it short and pick something you will still like in a month — pets get traded, and a name travels with the pet until the new owner renames it.

What "Adopt Me fonts" actually are

Fonts. What people call "Adopt Me fonts" are Unicode text styles — letters and symbols from other alphabets that look decorative but are still plain text, pasted into the naming box. They are generated outside the game and pasted in; there is no in-game font picker.

Two things to know before you use them:

• Some characters get filtered. Roblox and Adopt Me! filter text. Decorative styles that rely on unusual code points can render as blocks or be stripped, so always preview your name in-game before you commit — a display name that works on one platform may not survive the next.
